Role Purpose
As a Legal Counsel, you will work on diverse projects, overseeing the legal aspects of our business in Spain. This includes providing comprehensive legal advice to the management team and cooperating with Avafin Headquarters.

This position is based in Barcelona, Spain.
Main responsibilities
· Guiding and advising the business on regulatory, compliance, and other legal issues related to the structuring of financial products.
· Supervising the field of consumer protection (both Credit Consumer Law and Consumer Protection Law).
· Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, while striking a balance between commercial and legal considerations; identifying and clearly communicating any legal risks.
· Supporting compliance-related internal or external audits and as regulatory inspections.
· Providing legal guidance to business and the operational departments.
· Carrying out risk analysis, organizational policies, and implementing physical and technical measures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including GDPR and AML.
What you will need
· A degree in law.
· 4+ years of experience, preferably in an in-house role.
· Previous experience with a Fintech is a plus.
· Fluency in both English and Spanish.
· Experience working across various business units.
· Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
· Excellent interpersonal skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Passionate about fast-growing and tech-driven companies.
